CSU Regional Archives holds a quite extensive collection of local and national newspapers on microfilm. We have in excess of 60 different newspapers, including the Daily Advertiser, Wagga Wagga Express, Albury Border Post, Coolamon Ganmain Farmers Review, Junee Southern Cross, Riverine Grazier and Tumut and Adelong Times. Recently, we received a consignment of microfilm from the CSU Library which contains copies of the Daily Advertiser from March 1964 to April 2015. We have taken up a subscription so that we will receive the latest editions of the Advertiser as they are released on microfilm. This means that we will hold copies of the Daily Advertiser from 1868 to present.

50th Anniversary of the Sydney Baha’i Temple

My curiosity has been satisfied. For a period of seven years I drove past an impressive building on my drive to and from work at Dee Why. It was the Baha’i Temple. I had thought that it had something to do with a Pacific or South Seas religion but I never made the effort to find out. This post from fellow blogger, Yvonne, has corrected my misconceptions and given me information on the religion and building’s histories.

A New Year – A New Blog

I have been using Blogger as a blogging platform for around five years and think that I should explore another blogging tool so here I am.

As I also want to preserve the Geniaus (a genealogist from the land downunder) identity I thought that I should grab the identity on WordPress while it is available.

I have no particular plans for this blog other than using it as a learning tool for the moment. I will just wait anad see what happens
